VIDEO ANALYSIS ABOUT THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION

Here is my analysis for the characteristics of teacher and students in the teaching and learning process on the video presented:

          The video presented about the use of technology in the classroom. Teacher and students there already have the skills or proficiency in utilizing the sophistication of information and communication technology as a supporting tool in the learning process. The classroom atmosphere looks interactive with the use of complete and sophisticated learning media. 

          The characteristics of the teacher that we can see from the video are creative and innovative in using e-learning applications or ICT-based. This video shows the teacher giving instructions about the project that will be done by the students. They are given a project to design a bridge. He gave explanation about the project using presentation that was not only smart and sophisticated but also very interesting. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of his students in following the learning and completing the tasks. He is not only as a facilitator but also as a motivator for the students. In the video, he uses apps to monitor the students' progress in learning and gives attention to the slow learner students. He motivates students to complete project. He also gives students the opportunity to seek information by using diverse sources of learning for the success of their project. 

          The students in the video also have a good digital literacy to support their learning process. They are able to operate the features of the gadgets that they use in designing and presenting their works or projects. Their characteristics are creative, innovative, and collaborative in completing their project. They are active in their group to find solutions to problems encountered. They also seek information from actual sources by communicating through video conference with professional engineer. Finally, they can finish the project and present it to the classroom. All the students gain meaningful learning there. 

          In conclusion, the teacher and the students in the video presented have had the ability to understand and utilize information and communication technology (ICT Literacy Skills) to support effective learning system in the 21st century.
