The diagrams show the process by which coal was formed over a
period of millions of years. First of all, large plants 1 had lived in enormous
swamps a long time ago. These 2 died and dropped to the bottom
of the water. Over the years, the dead plants formed a layer, which became
deeper and deeper. More and more earth and dirt 3 was built up on top of
this layer. Subsequently, this layer 4 was covered by rocks and
dirt, and so the energy of the dead plants 5 was trapped underneath.
As the pressure and the heat grew over time, the layer of dead plants 6 turned into coal.
Seams of coal were formed, and coal 7 is being now mined.

The diagram below shows the
process by which advertisements are produced. Following the diagram are a
series of statements describing each stage of the process in jumbled order, match
the statements with corresponding stages in the process! One has been done for
you.

message which the company wants to send to the customer through the
