Assignment M 2 LA 1
1. Establishing a descriptive text about favorite person
My Mother
My mother, Mrs. R. Purba, is without doubt the most important person in my life. She is my number one favorite person in the entire universe. There are plenty of reasons for this including her unconditional love for me and my siblings, her constant sacrifices in a bid to ensure our happiness, her inner strength that makes the world a better place to live, and her immense wisdom buried deep within her soul. She is simply a precious gift to me.
My mother birthed four children and I am the eldest child in our family. One of the reasons my siblings and I are especially fond of my mother is the way she used to take great care of us, especially when we are ill. She is a very knowledgeable lady who made a variety of home remedies to help take care of the minor illness that we had when we were kids. Now, we have been grown up and lived separated from our parents. Though, we don’t live together, my mother always calls or texts us jut to know our condition. My mother always suggests us to stay healthy by reminding us to eat and drink well though we had a lot of tasks to do. This suggestion is simple but this is how my mother shows her care to us.
My mother is a hard worker. She along with my father is a famer. Though, working as a farmer is not an easy job, she never complains neither to us nor my father. She always helps my father working in our field to fulfill our needs and to ensure we have good education. The way she struggle to support our family always inspire me not to give up easily when I find hard life in my study and my work.
My mother is a strict person too. She teaches us to be discipline in order to have a good time management for studying and helping parents. Last time, when I was at 6th grade, I came home late after school without informing my parents. I played with my friends till noon. That time, my mother was angry with me. She punished me by not giving pocket money for three days. Even though I did not like the punishment then I now look back and realize that it was meant to lovingly correct me and help me to follow the right path when growing up.
As an outdoor worker, my mother doesn’t have glowing skin like those who have regular treatment at saloon and spa. She has a bit dark skin. She owns slanted eyes and short straight black hair. For me, my mother has the kindest eyes. Though she sometimes has problem, she loves and cares us tenderly.
Undoubtedly, my mother is my life’s anchor and the most complete woman I know. Her comforting advice makes difficulties vanish in a trice and her motherly care and love comforts us in periods of despair and pain. Her strong will and determination make huge mountains appear tiny. All my mothers’ qualities make her unmatched.
