KOMPETENSI PROFESIONAL: FINAL ASSIGNMENT M2

  1. Choose one of your classmates you think he/she is the best for you. Then, describe him or her in terms of his/her physical and mental appearances.


My Best Friend

            Mira Cansri is one of my best friends when I was studying at State University of Medan. We graduated in 2011.  Now, I am so happy because we are in the same batch and class for in-service teachers’ training. The training is called PPG. It stands for Pendidikan Profesi Guru.
            She is an English teacher in SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Balai. She has pretty face. She is not very tall and has fair skin. She still has her long black hair when I saw her in the video conference in our virtual class with our instructor.
            She is a well-organized person. Though she is busy in taking care of her little daughter and doing the online learning for teachers’ training, she never leaves her duties and responsibilities at school. Everyone in her school likes her because she is a good and friendly teacher. She is also good at singing. Her voice is beautiful. She ever joins the singing competition in her church and gets the first winner for that competition. She is also a smart and creative teacher. She likes to bring song to the class when there are teaching materials in accordance with the song. Most of her students are interested in the way she teaches them. She likes giving advice for her students to be more serious in their study. Though she is a little bit fussy especially for the students who are trouble makers, they love her because they know that their teacher is giving good suggestion for them.
            She has kind heart and she is a good listener, too. She likes helping her friends when they are having troubles. She always helps me if I get difficulty in doing my learning tasks. She also gives her time to listen my story or my problems and she offers me some suggestions. She is my best friend and I will always remember her kindness.



  1. Establishing a historical recount plan of SMP Negeri 1 Sidamanik


SMP Negeri 1 Sidamanik


             SMP Negeri 1 Sidamanik, also known as SMP Negeri Sarimatondang, was built in 1963 by some local community leaders who concerned about education. They built the school in a land that owned by Marjandi plantation in order to give chance for people to have education and live better though there weren’t legal entity or statement at that time from the authorities. 
            About ten years later, there was a program of Land Reform from Marjandi plantation. By the agreement from the government and Marjandi Plantation, on February 26th, 1974 the head of Sarimatondang village, Mr. Tarji Damanik as one of the committee of Land Reform helped to declare that the land which was 10.155 Meters from Bah tangan PNP VIII Marjandi plantation  was intended to be used for establishing SMP Negeri 1 Sidamanik. That time, Mr. Ferdinand Damanik was appointed to be the principal of the school. From the certificate of the land, it’s known that the buildings of the school were not permanent. The school had 12 non permanent buildings which 10 for classrooms, 1 for teacher’s room, and 1 for principal office.
            Then, the school was developed continually by the government. The school already had permanent buildings with 22 classrooms, 1 students’ counseling room, 1 administration office, 1 teachers’ room, 1 principal room, 1 library, 1 mushola for Muslim to pray, 1 laboratory, toilets, and school canteens. Using the fund from the government, the facilities of the school were also developed to have good learning environment.
            For years, there are thousands of students who graduated from this school and they already had successful careers. Some students who studied in this school got some achievements in sport, speech, and science competition. The school got many trophies which placed in the principal room.
As a school that was pioneered by local communities and the only one public Junior High School in the sub-district, SMP Negeri 1 Sidamanik is a favorite school especially for the local students.

The social function of the label above is to give information about Yogurt which the brand is Yoplair with strawberry lemonade flavor in it. The label also tells the Nutrition Facts and the ingredients of the yoghurt

-          The name and address of manufacturer
Language Features
-          Using numbers (weight of product)
-          Adjective phrase ( low fat yoghurt)
-          Using article a (percent daily values are based on a 2000 calorie diet)
-          Suggestions (Not a significant source of dietary fiber)


4. Go around your city or place and find out some kinds of warnings, notices, and cautions. Take picture of them and then explain what the messages are beyond them.
